The Receivables Exchange - Justin Brownhill & Nicolas Perkin

Justin Brownhill is an experienced executive and strategic advisor to the capital markets, financial services and software sectors. He was a Managing Director at Citigroup's Corporate and Investment Bank where he was involved with Citigroup's Institutional Trading Technology, Market Structure and Exchange Strategy teams. He was also an executive of Lava Trading, a leading global Equities and Foreign Exchange trading technology platform acquired by Citigroup in 2004.
Previously, Brownhill was an investment banker in the Financial Institutions practice at Credit Suisse First Boston, Union Bank of Switzerland and Salomon Brothers where he worked on over $100 billion in M&A transactions, and participated in many of the largest underwritings for his clients in the banking, brokerage and financial technology arena. Brownhill graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from the Faculty of Management at the University of Calgary, Canada. He was a swimmer at an international level, and captained his national championship varsity team. He is an active member of the community, most notably as a former executive and Board Member for Minds Matter of NYC Inc., a volunteer organization for disadvantaged inner-city high school students to expand educational horizons.

As a former CFO and a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Perkin has felt firsthand the pressures that a lack of working capital can bring to bear on a thriving business. In order to provide small and medium sized businesses with an easy and efficient way to access working capital, he co-founded The Receivables Exchange.
Prior to The Receivables Exchange, Mr. Perkin was Executive Vice President at EmSense Corporation, a leading next generation media measurement company. Previously, he was Vice President of Global Business Development for Massive, Inc., which was acquired by Microsoft Corporation in May 2006. In addition, he held the position of Head of Strategic Business Development at Kestrel Technologies, a leading Wall Street developer of technology solutions for fixed income trading. He also worked in mergers and acquisitions at Veronis, Suhler & Company and Cowles Media Company and held various operations positions at The Black Book.
He holds a Master of Science in Finance from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University.
Mr. Perkin also serves on the Board of Directors for the Youth Rescue Initiative, a non-profit organization that aims to teach at-risk children in the greater New Orleans area how to overcome challenges, create opportunity and achieve success. He was appointed to, and serves as Vice Chairman of, the Louisiana Innovation Council. He is also a member of the New York Weill Cornell Council (NYWCC) which serves to support patient care, medical research, and education at New York Weill Cornell Medical Center. Mr. Perkin is also a member of the Board of Directors of Musicmogul.com, the world’s first online 3D music world and entertainment platform.Mr. Millman is a highly regarded financial industry expert with a history of leading high volume, high transaction companies. Prior to joining the Exchange, Mr. Millman was CFO of Allconnect, where he spearheaded the development of the company's financial systems, controls and processes. Under his leadership, the company raised approximately $100 million in capital and grew to become one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States as measured by Inc. Magazine.
Previously, he served as CFO of Ticketmaster, the world's leading entertainment ticketing and marketing company, serving more than 9,000 clients worldwide. Mr. Millman also served as CFO of multiple business units of Advanta, one of the nation's leading issuer of credit cards specifically for the small business market, where he helped grow the company's credit card, leasing and insurance business lines. Prior to his tenure as CFO, he was Advanta's Vice President of Capital Markets. In this role he attained investment grade status for the company from all five national rating agencies. Mr. Millman has also held senior-level finance positions at J.P. Morgan and ARAMARK.
Mr. Millman is a Certified Public Accountant. He earned an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS degree from Drexel University.
Elaine O’Gorman is an experienced business leader with over 15 years of experience in a wide variety of functions from marketing and distribution to product development and finance. Prior to the Exchange, O’Gorman led the marketing efforts of Silverpop, a leading provider of innovative marketing automation software for the B2B community where she was instrumental in achieving growth greater than 50% CAGR. Previously, she led the email marketing and interactive efforts for the American Airlines website, AA.com, growing it from an online niche division to a major revenue driver for the airline.
O’Gorman was named to the annual “Who’s Who” list by BtoB Magazine and was a finalist for the Technology Association of Georgia’s “Woman of The Year in Technology.” Her teams have been recognized with over two dozen awards including the BMA Ace awards, the SIIA CODiE awards, the IABC Golden Flame awards, the Best of SaaS Showplace awards, and PRSA Phoenix awards. She is a frequent speaker at such venues as ad:tech, Shop.org, the Direct Marketing Association’s annual conference and various technology-oriented forums.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics degree from the Wharton School and an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She has been named a Certified Managerial Accountant and a Certified Project Manager (PMP).
John Barton brings a deep understanding of financial analysis and operational expertise, drawing from a successful career in equity research and asset management. Previously, he was an Investment Analyst at Partner Fund Management and Andor Capital Management, two leading global hedge funds. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
Chris Kennedy comes to The Receivables Exchange from LNS/Nevasoft, a specialty engineering group in California where he served as Chief Technology Officer. As a technology provider to Kestrel Technologies, LNS/Nevasoft supplied the technology used for the NYSE's web-based bond trading for Arca as well as Kestrel's Katalyst and Konnekt product families which provide on-line trading of fixed income securities and connectivity gateways between Bloomberg's TOMS and Kestrel's RAPTr trading systems and various electronic communications networks. Kennedy brings 20 years experience in building fixed-income electronic trading systems and 30 years experience in building high performance distributed computing systems to the Exchange. His other interests include the fields of autonomous computing, trustability and privacy, formal methods, rational drug design and RF design. Mr. Kennedy did his undergraduate and graduate work at the University of California, Berkeley where he completed his Ph.D.
Dana Stetson brings nearly two decades as a proven sales leader to his role at The Receivables Exchange, with more than ten years devoted to the selling of complex solutions into the finance industry. Most recently he was responsible for the sell-side equity sales organization at Lava Trading, a leading global Equities and foreign exchange trading technology platform with over $40 million in annual sales. Lava Trading was acquired by Citigroup in 2004. Prior to Lava Trading, he joined Dynamicsoft in 1999 as the second employee and drove revenue from the first sale through to an acquisition by Cisco Systems in 2004. He began his sales career at IBM where he was a top producer and achieved the elite Golden Circle sales award. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from Pace University.
Bill Siegel brings an institutional trading background in the equity, fixed income and derivative asset classes to The Receivables Exchange Liquidity Desk. Prior to joining TRE in 2008, Siegel worked for SAC Capital, a large global hedge fund. At SAC, Siegel focused on fundamental research and investing in high yield and distressed securities. His experience brings an understanding of capital structures and markets, along with numerous industry-level specializations. Siegel started his career with MD Sass Associates, a New York-based money management firm where Siegel was the Vice President of Equity Research, and the firm’s head equity trader. Siegel graduated with a BBA from the University of Michigan Business School and earned his CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation in 2006.
Barbara Brandfass brings substantive experience in managing internal and stand-alone new businesses for multiple asset-class trading operations. Most recently she was a Principal at Bank of America, managing New Business and Strategic Development projects in Global Structured Products. Previously, she was Product Manager for the Citigroup/Instinet foreign-exchange electronic trading platform. She started and managed two research-based operations in fixed-income and equity derivatives for proprietary trading firms. Brandfass was formerly a member of the American Stock Exchange New Products Committee.
Ms. Azzano has a long history of helping both established and startup technology companies prepare for and successfully execute high profile corporate and product launches, and to continue to elevate their brand post-launch through strategic positioning and communications campaigns. For the past nine years, she served as the CEO of Cosmo Public Relations, a boutique communications agency she co-founded and built into a highly respected strategic communications firm. At Cosmo PR, Ms. Azzano worked with such high-profile brands as E-LOAN, eBay, McAfee and Prosper.com. Prior to Cosmo PR, she was recruited by Copithorne & Bellows to build their West Coast Internet practice, where she worked with Wells Fargo's Online Banking and E-commerce division, Hewlett-Packard's E-Commerce platforms division, and managed the multi-million dollar re-launch of the Alta-Vista brand. Previously, she was a Senior Executive at Niehaus Ryan Group, a leading Silicon Valley Internet and technology public relations firm known for its work with Yahoo!, Apple, Mapquest and many other high profile technology brands. Ms. Azzano began her career in Washington, D.C., building marketing and communications programs for companies in the transportation industry. She earned an MBA from the University of Iowa and holds a BS degree from Southeastern Louisiana University.
